📆 21/04/2025 – 04/21/2025 – Initial Assessment

General Condition:

Neglected vines, many without pruning for several seasons.

Compacted soil, no ground cover.

Signs of mites, downy mildew, and powdery mildew in previous years.

Low biodiversity.

Actions Taken: Initial technical visit.

Evaluation of health and structural status.

Soil sampling for analysis.

Medium-term organic management planning.

Notes:

The owner is interested in converting the vineyard to certified organic.

Presence of local Cabernet Sauvignon varieties is observed.

📆 30/04/2025 – Pruning and Initial Management

Actions taken:

Cleaning and shaping pruning.

Removal of diseased wood.

Crushing and composting of plant debris on the same site.

Marking of dead vines for future replacement.

New Merlot vines on unused land.

Observations:

Many old vines respond well to severe pruning.

High weed density; controlled ground cover is planned.
